Buyer’s Closing Day Checklist

  1. Bring valid ID
  2. Proof of insurance (homeowner’s policy)
  3. Cashier’s check or wire confirmation for closing costs
  4. Review settlement statement and loan documents before signing
  5. Confirm wire instructions directly with escrow officer (to avoid fraud)
  6. Double-check spelling and details on all closing documents
  7. Arrange time off work and plan for at least 1–2 hours at signing
  8. Celebrate receiving your keys!

  1. Gather HOA documents, warranties, and receipts for repairs
  2. Schedule home cleaning or minor touch-ups
  3. Collect keys, garage remotes, gate codes, pool keys, etc.
  4. Forward mail and schedule utilities transfer/cancellation
  5. Provide payoff info for existing mortgage(s)
  6. Confirm forwarding address with escrow for proceeds check
  7. Prepare to hand over any agreed-upon repairs or credits
